Stayed for 1 night in superior room, overlooking the harbour. Very comfortable abd spacious.Great shower and lovely meal in restaurant.2nd visit and will be back again

We booked the room with a harbour view (Room E) and were very impressed with comfort and cleanliness. Good bed and large bathroom with excellent shower. The room appeared to have been redecorated and was of a high standard. From the time of our arrival1430 - which is quite early by most hotel standards, we were looked after by a host of friendly efficient staff. In addition to very good breakfasts with a large choice we dined there on two nights and were very impressed by the food and again the service. We found that the portions were so generous that I opted for two starters on the second night instead of the main course. Even then I struggled because the CullenSkink I started with was so full of fish etc. We hope to return again later in the year.

My annual trip as a post-winter tonic and the Waterfront always impresses.Welcoming atmosphere, very comfortable and well-maintained room. Thank you. It takes hard work to maintain standards.Look forward to next time!

The Waterfront was an excellent place to stay, the staff were very pleasant and helpful, the room was great, the food was fabulous. We would return but we now have a dog so ? Will now have to look for alternative accommodation

Excellent as always. I’ve stayed here a few times now and everything about it is just right for me. Clean, quiet comfortable rooms and a good restaurant with great service from lovely staff.

We spend the weekend at the start of March 25 in Anstruther, we stayed in the Waterfront Hotel which certainly ended up a great choice. The accommodation was warm, spacious and welcoming as were all members of staff in the restaurant area. Great weekend and thanks to Waterfront for adding to our stay. Charlie & Liz Mitchell.

We have stayed hear on a number of occasions. Perfectly situated to enjoy Anstruther and the other villages of the East Neuk. Rooms are excellent - very clean and well appointed. The beds are real luxury. Breakfast is amazing - lots of choice and beautifully cooked. The staff are so friendly and helpful.We will be back - soon I hope.

We are just home from a fantastic weekend away to this loveky hotel.The rooms were beautiful, exceptionally clean and very modern.The included breakfast was brilliant. Lots of choice. The service was great. The staff couldn't do enough to help.We also ate dinner in the restaurant on both nights and again the quality and service were fantastic.Highly recommend a stay at this hotel.This was out 3rd time and certainly won't be the last

Had a few days away with my 86yr mother and husband, the accomadation was spoitless,and cosy. Mum wasnt keen on doing as much walking as Andrew and i so the staff in the restaurant were good enough to allow us to sit in the restaurant later in the afternoon to read,(we had a wee wine and gin of course).We ate both nights in the restaurant and the food and sevice was faultless. Its lovely to go out and have well trained and friendly staff. Well done, keep up the good work. Val, Andrew and Annie

Room was lovely and big with fantastic views.Spotlessly clean too.Breakfast on both mornings was delicious, lots of choice using high quality ingredients.We didn’t eat at night this time as had other arrangements but we have previously and couldn’t fault anything.One of our favourite hotels! We had a 2 night stay in Room E and found the whole experience to be wonderful. A spotlessly clean comfortable room which was toasty warm on a freezing weekend! Dinner in the adjacent restaurant was also great value with the only downside being my first two picks from the menu were not available.But heho not a showstopper...would thoroughly recommend the Waterfront as a base in East Neuk of Fife!

Stayed for one night in the harbour view room which is a very nice large rom with lovely views. We also ate in the restaurant at night. The food was delicious. The restaurant decor is very nice also. The staff are all very nice and helpful. We had breakfast the following morning which was also excellent. I’d throughly recommend staying here and eating in the restaurant.

We have been annually visiting various Scottish towns in February for a few years now as a longstanding group of friends and The Waterfront in Anstruther proved to be yet another great stop for our get together.The rooms were lovely and the restaurant/menu suiting all our tastes.The staff were welcoming and friendly.We have booked to return next February - absolutely recommend.

We had a great stay at the Waterfront for 1 night as a group of 5 friends in 2 twins and a single room. We were able to check-in early, the rooms were clean and well appointed. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we had a great breakfast (included in price) in the restaurant and were not rushed despite coming fro breakfast at 945 (finished at 10 officially). A few small things to improve on - the twin rooms were very warm and the single did not have any shower gel and the TV would not connect, wasn't a major issue though. Would def stay again.

Ive stayed with you a few times now and as always very warm friendly staff, room was, as ever, ideal, apart from at 6.30am a generator of some kind kicks in,and is loud in room 6, more of a drone. Being an earlier riser, it was okay for me. I will see you again, being I live near Aberfeldy and you are a great retreat for me. Thank you. James

We enjoyed 2 nights with The Waterfront in January. Originally booked Fri and Sat, this had to be re arranged due to Storm EOwyn. This was not a problem to change the date to the Wed o/n. Clean and comfy rooms and we enjoyed dinner in the restaurant both evenings and breakfasts both mornings. Our food was excellent and served with friendly efficiency.

Lovely spacious room with everything you needed for a comfortable stay. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately we had to leave a whole day early to be able to get home safely before storm Eowyn arrived. 🥲

The location, the room, the restaurant the food is just that step of quality above the rest. The staff were exceptional and catered for our every need. A few downsides : the double bed was 2 singles anchored to each other and we tended to roll together to the middle . Also I would liked to have seen a bigger selection of draught Beer's on tap or even some bottled wiesbeer ( white beer) which would complement the seafood selection on offer in the restaurant

I'd originally booked to stay for two nights, extended it to three and then owing to storm Éowyn added an additional night. The team were so helpful and accommodating, in particular with all the uncertainty around the storm. I got into new room early, was kept in contact with about hotel hours etc. Early on in my visit they also sorted an early breakfast for me. The rooms are lovely, I was lucky enough to get the sea view one. Again thank you to the fabulous staff.

We stayed here for the one night for a relaxing getaway. The room was lovely and nicely decorated. Very fresh looking. It was lovely and warm and the bed was really comfy. The staff were very friendly and the food was great. We would definitely stay again.

Room was charming. Shower was extremely hot, this might need looking at. Room 1.Staff very welcoming, food very good quality and reasonably priced.Only downside, we missed having a lounge where we could relax with a drink after dinner.

Didn't get the room we seen when booking but still had a relaxing few days , room was fine apart from the cobweb hanging down off ceiling,Bathroom needed updating & the rooms not very soundproof lol staff we encountered were verynice & we would stay again for sure ☺️

Wonderful room and excellent restaurant. We stayed three nights, mid-week, on the their special 2-for-3 deal and ate in their restaurant for two nights.Absolutely brilliant breakfast. Staff were very friendly and attentive.

Had a lovely stay at the Waterfront accommodation over the New Year. Room B was rather compact & bijou. Very little space in this room unfortunately. All Staff were very helpful & pleasant. Food was good. However, having been offered unlimited coffee & tea at breakfast with lots of coffee & tea in the room, when my Husband asked for a Cappuccino we were advised it would need to be e charged to the room ! Did not make any sense !

The family room was perfect for us all with great bunk beds for the kids. The room was immaculate and very spacious. The breakfast was extremely generous and delicious! We first came here 18 years ago as a couple and returning now with kids it was just as good as we remembered!

We spent four nights over New Year arch of the Waterfront. The location was perfect and the room that was comfortable and cozy. Great comfortable beds and everything modern and clean. Breakfast choice was fantastic and the food was all delicious.

An excellent stay at this hotel for two nights between Xmas and new year.Room was clean and tidy with lots of space. Staff friendly and welcoming. Breakfast had a wide selection and fresh made. Evening meal was also top notch would stay here again if ever visiting east coast.

An absolute gem! The accommodation was beautifully appointed, immaculately clean - we loved our stay! And a beautiful location - We were in the area on business so not much leisure time to explore. We enjoyed walking out along the harbour wall to the sea before breakfast and visiting the lovely gift shop or two on the harbour front. From our first interaction with the gentleman who showed us our rooms we were impressed. We dined in the evening and the food was really very good, great value for money, a great menu and the staff were excellent. Breakfast lived up to our expectation, lots of choice, served hot and the presentation of all dishes was top notch! The staff were all superb, friendly, attentive and welcoming. We hope to stay again and explore East Neuk. Thank you - keep doing what you are doing!

Stayed for one night and it’s was perfect, my room was so cosy, comfortable and very clean. Everywhere was spotless, even the corridors and stairs leading up to the rooms - smelled nice too!I had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant which was lovely, all the staff were so welcoming and friendly, food was fantastic. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel to my friends and family and will definitely stay again if in the area.

Great stay, food lovely, room cosy. Had booked room with a view over harbour and weren't disappointed. Only small area for improvement was that the blinds would not stay up to fully appreciate view but that was fed back to the hotel. 4 instead of 5 star rating due to that. Rest was fantastic.

We have just spent 2 nights in the premier room here and it was just perfect. Lovely large warm room (the temperature was minus 3 outside!) The views are wonderful. We saw sunrise in the morning and sunset in the evening from our window. Stayed mid December. Thank you, also the staff were all friendly and efficient.

We had a great overnight stay in early December.The accommodation was warm clean and tidy. We had dinner in the evening which was lovely as was the breakfast.Great selection. My only suggestion for improvement would be better marmalade.I do t eat cooked breakfast so these little things become more important.We would thoroughly recommend staying here.

Everything was excellent during my 3 day stay.Room large, warm and comfortable. Food was great both for breakfast and dinner with a lot of choice and reasonably priced. Perfect location at the harbour. Highly recommended and will definitely be back soon.

I stayed here when working in the area. I was pleasantly surprised by the room,Yes the room was small but more than adequate for my needs. I found it clean and tidy, with all I required for my stay. Great TV and channels available a bonus. Fab value for money.

Our first ever visit to both Anstruther and The Waterfront. Lovely couple of days spent walking along Fife Coastal path with exceptional cold/clear sunny weather for December. Everything about our stay was excellent, central location, very comfy, warm room to stay in, good breakfast to set us up for the day and all staff in restaurant were helpful and friendly at all times - many thanks The Waterfront added to our enjoyable visit to the East Neuk - see you again soon - Neil & Natasha

What a nice stay we had at the Waterfront Anstruther. This was our first overnight stay in East Neuk, kingdom of Fyfe. Why didn't we came earlier?Perfect, complete and comfortable room. Great location. Very clean. Good value. Breakfast good selection.Only minor problem was in checking out. No paperInvoice, no WIFI. Luckily I had the details on my phone.I paid. No receipt. I was told it would be sent to my email, but that hasn’t happened. Unprofessional.Overall , good.

An excellent hotel right by the harbour.The restaurant is first rate but, if you decide to eat elsewhere, there are choices just a short walk away.The room was spacious and comfortable and the breakfast was outstanding with generous portions and lots of interesting choices.The staff throughout are friendly and helpful.

Booked an overnight bed n breakfast stay the room was great, big comfy bed, large bathroom everything spotless, sky TV Inc the sports and movie channels that you normally never get. Will definitely book again 👍

Fantastic hotel. Room was modern and wonderfully decorated. Bathroom was lovely, modern and had a shower and a bath! Staff in the hotel and restaurant were so efficient, welcoming and friendly. We ate in the restaurant, which had a varied, reasonably priced menu and the food was lovely. The setting of the hotel is brilliant and right beside the harbour, with lovely views and a range of shops, pubs and restaurants within a 2 minute walk. Parking was available rightacross rhe road from the hotel. This place is a little gem and we will be back. I would highly recommend.

A lovely and unusual place to stay. It’s behind (detached) from the Waterfront restaurant where you checkin, you are then taken up a lane into a courtyard where the building has many doors to the different rooms. The little courtyard has tables and chairs where you can sit on a nice day.Our room was nice, it was on the top floor ( Room 2) had a large king bed and bunk beds each bunk had its own TV! Great idea for the kids.A strange thing happened tho…. At 6.05am the top bunk Tv switched on!? Lighting up the whole room playing a cartoon??? We were on our own, no kids, how does a tv go on without someone switching it on??? We mentioned to the staff on checking out and wait for it….. they said “we think it may be haunted “!!! Well it’s certainly given us a story to tell.It was a great wee place, restaurant was lovely, highly recommended. Would I go back.. Definitely! Might avoid room 2 though. 😜

My daughter and sister in law took my mum to the Waterline for a wee night away as part of a birthday treat. The accommodation is excellent - spotless, contemporary, supremely comfortable and beautifully cosy for a winter break.The lovely staff deserve a special mention, they all seem invested in making sure that everything is perfect for you and nothing seems too much trouble.Have stayed before and will stay again - a gem of a place for a wee stay in the East Neuk which consistently delivers 🥰

What a fabulous place to dine and stay!Everything was spot on.All your staff are warm, friendly and helpful.Our rokm was spotlessly clean, well decorated, cosy and comfortable.It had everything we needed.The bed and bedding were super comfy and we slept really well.We dined with you, the food (yummy Cottage Pie) and service were fabulous.Breakfast was equally as good, freshly cooked and everything was served at the table.I couldn't fault anything, our stay couldn't have been better.We will definitely be back (hopefully for longer next time)Thank you!

Clean comfortable room with friendly and accommodating staff 😊 location is lovely too. The bathroom window in the room I stayed in needs to be more manageable for opening and closing, especially in winter, and for people who struggle with muscle strength! But everything else is perfect!Thank you 😊

This was the second time we stayed at the Waterfront and it was as good as the first time.The room was clean, comfortable and warm.The shower was excellent with 2 shower heads, one was waterfall type. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and the food was excellent, especially the fruit bowl.I have no worry about staying here again.

We had a wonderful 3 nights stay, walking some of eh coastal trail despite the cold! The Waterfront provided a wonderful home base for exploring the area.

Had a lovely overnight stay. Room was well appointed and cosy for a winter break. Breakfast was good albeit busy dining room meant slower pace serving but we didn’t mind as was not a buffet

We were in Anstruthers for a friends 60th. 10 of us stayed at the Waterfront hotel. The rooms were fantastic, clean and modern. Bed was comfortable.The breakfast was absolutely delicious and the choice was great.We also booked a meal on Sunday this was nice too.Staff were professional, friendly and helpful nothing was an issue.We will definitely return.

Once again we visited Anstruther and for the second time stayed at the waterfront.Plenty of good walks around.Staying at the Waterfront was ideal self catering apartments with great facilities (with great breakfasts to get your day started),the restaurant has loads to choose from and great.All members of staff were fab anyone we asked were helpful and frendly with a smile on there face ( very rarely found in hospitality these days .Overall a great holiday once again.Thanks.

We had a lovely stay room small but perfectly formed en-suite spotless.We had dinner which was excellent, staff very helpful.Breakfast was good my husband had full Scottish, I had avocado and poached egg, avocado was too puréed for me and eggs could have been warmer, but it didn’t spoil it.Will be back anstruther is great.

First time in Anstruther and it won’t be the last The Waterfront offered everything you could want for a short break.Hotel was spotless Staff very efficient and all seemed to love their job also immensely polite which makes a massive difference The food I have to say was fantasticand I have never seen such portion size a true treat Prices were the best I have ever seen for such quality .No wonder the restaurant was so busy. The layout of the restaurant was immaculate with everthing making it very warm and welcoming 10 Out of 10 for me and my partner will certainly be retuning 😎😎👍👍👍👍Special mention to Paige, what a credit to your team.

I can't rate this hotel highly enough. Just spent a fantastic three nights in it and can honestly say that our stay was faultless.Everything was great, particularly the staff.The room was lovely, the food was very good, varied and plentiful.Nothing was a bother for the restaurant staff who were all very good natured and pleasant.Our room was spacious and clean with a good sized bathroom/shower room.Even the November weather was good.It wouldn't surprise me if the hotel organised that too 😊.There is a regular bus service nearby to neighbouring coastal towns.All in all, we had an exceptionally good break and will definitely return.

I was over from N Ireland looking at a house we are moving to in the new year. Rather than go over and back in one day I decided to stay over. The Waterfront came up on looking for accommodation. I was not disappointed. I chose a single room and it was comfortable and cosy. Tucked away behind in a sweet collection of houses. Super quiet. Attention to detail noted. I ate in the restaurant twice. Dinner and breakfast. Cannot fault a thing. The waitresses were friendly and efficient. I'd stay again only I will have no need too unfortunately! Will definitely eat there again though. 10 out of 10.

Single rooms are perfect for one person, cosy with a good sized bathroom. Great value and very quiet in Autumn and winter. Excellent cafe style breakfast and lovely staff.

Accomodation was excellent. Ensuite was huge with both bath and separate shower. Breakfast was amazing. The staff were very friendly and provided excellent service.

We had a wonderfully relaxing shiort break here and enjoyed every minute of our stay.The room was clean, comfortable and very spacious with a huge bathroom with bath and walk-in shower.Dinner in the restaurant was excellent as were breakfast choices.Staff could not have been more helpful, friendly and attentive.So good we booked again for March!

A comfortable, very clean room and tasty breakfast made for a good value stay.

We stayed for a golfing trip and from check in to check out everything was perfect, great room and we were accommodated early breakfast so we could make a morning tee time.

Just returned from an amazing 2 night break.Room was spotless and very spacious , breakfast and dinner faultless.All staff , very friendly and helpful.We would thoroughly recommend this accommodation, excellent value for money.

Rooms: clean,cosy and bright. Breakfast: plenty of choice with different courses included. Also have used the great restaurant for evening meals, with great choice and really good food. The staff are very friendly, professional and alert. I have nothing bad to report about my stay.

The room was very comfortable and had super sea view. We had dinner in restaurant 2 nights. Thoroughly enjoyed it. We both commented on the very efficient staff and so pleasant.

Comfy, clean, well positioned. Lovely food, reasonably priced. Only downside was very creaky floorboards above us which disrupted our sleep.

I stayed in a twin room (no 5) from 2 nights whilst walking the coastal path in October 2025.The room was very clean, nicely furnished and warm despite the storm outside.Check in was quick and efficient, the staff were all really nice and friendly and both breakfasts and one dinner were good quality and reasonably priced.I'd stay again. Great hotel.

Just returned from 2 nights in the Waterfront Hotel. Lovely, spacious room with plenty drawer and wardrobe space. Food both at breakfast and dinner very tasty with great choices and freshly made. Staff were just lovely, so friendly and helpful.My Mum stayed in single room but I should have requested a lower floor and walk-in shower as she had a shower over the bath and was up two flights of stairs. Although 85 she is very active and managed the stairs andbath/shower with extra care but if booking again I will request a walk in shower for her.This was our second visit but would definitely visit again!Weather was fab which was a bonus!

The location is perfect, the breakfast was very good, especially the really fresh fruit!The room was very clean and the bed big and comfortable. The only problem we had was that the room no. 4 was very warm and when we opened the window there was strong smell and noise from the kitchen right in front of the window.

Four senior American golf buddies stayed here and played several local courses (including St Andrews and Carnoustie) over an 8-day period.The location, quality of the rooms, convenience and staff were all exceptional.Easy access to all the courses (including a GREAT little 9-holer in Anstruther) and right down the street from the best fish and chips on the planet.Highly recommend the Waterfront if you're looking for affordable and great quality lodging.

Had a brilliant four days staying at The Waterfront in Anstruther.Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Excellent wide choice for breakfasts, and great evening meals. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location was ideal for walking sections of the Fife Coastal Path and touring other attractions of the East Neuk.

In a very good location within Anstruther. There is no parking with the B&B but at the time of our visit (October) we were able to move our car later in the afternoon to the car park opposite which was free from the end of September. There is also on street parking and that too was free.We had asked for as few stairs as possible and that is what we got; a room in the Courtyard (the Granary). Easily accessed, loads of room, very nice bathroom with huge shower and bath. Our only concern was the shower screen being very close as we turned from the washbasin.Everything was as clean as could be. The sheets were of good quality and, if you wanted, your room was discretely tidied each day - nobody in your room before 10 or after 2.I would recommend you eat in the associated restaurant as it does seem to provide the best food in the area.The servers are unfailingly cheerful and the prices are not high.If I was to go back to Anstruter, I would go back to the Waterfront.

Breakfast , lunch & dinner eaten in your establishment and every meal was beautiful! Your prices are very reasonable for the portion sizes & quality of food received. Your staff are a credit to you, well trained, very attentive & actually looked happy to be at work which is a rarity these days!The bedroom we had was clean & spacious. Slight negatives would be the temperature of room, even with the window open and the fan on (all night) it was a struggle to get 💯 comfortable! No fan in bathroom either, would be a good idea to add one.Apart from the small issues had in the bedroom we had a lovely stay & would recommend your business to others. We look forward to visiting again in the future.

We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay at The Waterfront. Our room was modern, clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable, and the water was hot !However, the main TVs in the room appeared to only have satellite channels, which was a shame, and slightly strange. Both the evening meals and breakfast were excellent.

The room was absolutely lovely, comfortable and well maintained. Every single member of staff was friendly, courteous and professional.Some food was good but the chef does need to refine his palate.Prawns with pasta, creamy sauce and lots of sugar.Avocado for breakfast that blew my mouth. Delicious hake but I had to leave the patatas bravas and beans as they were far too spicey.

I had a fantastic 2 day stay at The Waterfront, the superior room is stunning with fab views out to the harbour, it’s modern and clean, very comfortable. The full breakfast, served at The Waterfront restaurant is one of the best breakfasts I’ve had, I also had a meal here in the evening and was fabulous, everything was made to a high standard but with reasonable prices.It’s a great place to stay as it’s right on the front close to all the local independent shops, fish and chip shops and pubs. All in all I had a fab stay and will definitely be back to stay at The Waterfront.

The Waterfront never fails to impress, we had room 5 this time which is a garden room. Great sized room, comfy bed, good sized towels, spotlessly clean, WiFi was great, staff very friendly and approachable. It was a fabulous 2 night stay.

My sister and I had a lovely couple of days here, celebrating her birthday. The staff were exceptional, friendly and helpful, no matter how busy. We stayed as part of a group of 12 golfers. Wonderful rooms and superb breakfasts. Extremely friendly and attentive staff. Could park straight outside front door. Good pubs and restaurants only yards away. As for my golf ... the less said the better!

Room was perfect, location excellent, parking not so great, had to go way off site and park up at the top of the Town, however, not a problem as we are both fit. Staff were lovely and breakfast delicious. The harbour is busy and provided a great view. Collected some beautiful sea glass / broken pottery pieces at low tide. All in all, we had a really lovely break.

A bit upset with no view of harbour but the floral garden's lovely. The staff are excellent friendly and helpful. The food was as usual excellent especially the breakfast selections but then again the food is always excellent at the Waterfront whenever we've eaten there. Our only complaint is parking, and I have a blue badge, but my husband moved the car out of the car park prior to 8am every morning,to ensure we did not get penalties.

Hi,we enjoyed our stay at the waterfront.what i liked..... great location,really reasonably priced accomodation,restaurant had fab food,again reasonably priced and was a very pleasant enviroment.what i didnt think was great and could be improved was the welcome we received on arrival.now we were 10 minutes early but we had had quite a long drive and didnt think it would be much of a hassle arriving at that time but after lugging our luggage from the carwe were told rather abruptly by a young girl that check in was at 2.30 and to go away and come back then.there was no,well,i can check if the room is ready or would you like to sit and have a coffee for 10 minutes,it was honestly just go away and come back!!so we had to lug our luggage back out and across to the harbour and sit until precisely 2.30 and drag ourselves back over,i felt that this was a bit unnecessary.once we had checked in everyrhing was fine and we had a very lovely stay.maybe a wee word with staff about that would sort that out.

Return visitor to Waterfront. Had a small but lovely twin room which overlooked the rooftops. The room was well appointed with ample refreshment tray and bottled water. We sat outside the restaurant and enjoyed a pre dinner drink watching the world go by which was lovely. We ate in the restaurant which was very busy. My choice of a chicken dish was disappointing.I realise the Waterfront prides itself on being a fish restaurant- the fish and chips looked lovely but I dont eat fish. The ice cream was also full of ice. Had a much better experience the previous night at the Bank Restaurant.

Comfortable, large rooms, everyone super nice, breakfast good! Nice location just off the main street, rooms were hot even with windows open, and my daughters sheet had blood on it when we arrived, managed to grab a replacement sheet before everyone left for the night. Overall good place to stay

Had a great one night stay here. Our room D was amazing with stunning views. Around 20 stairs to get to it- but with a split landing- you can catch your breath if you have mobility issues. The views of the harbour are just beautiful. Our dinner was scrumptious and our breakfast very satisfying. All the staff were very friendly but professional. We will definitely be back again before the end of the year.

We stayed and eat at The Waterfront Hotel and it didn't disappoint, the room over looked the harbor which was a great view to wake up in the morning too.Even though the restaurant was busy all the staff are super friendly and always had time for a catch, our room was directly above the busy restaurant but the sound proofing meant we didn't hear a thing.

The hotel and restaurant occupy a prime location on Shore Drive right in front of the harbor. We are the included breakfast at the restaurant and it was quite good. The menu is extensive and the food is prepared well.The room we stayed in (The Grainery #4) had a king bed with 2 bunk beds with signs on them asking us not to use them. There is one small window which we opened as wide as we could, but we were never able to get cool fresh air inside. Consequently we had a very warm night which is a shame because the weather outside was actually quite lovely. Do beware that most rooms do not have a view to the sea, many are upstairs, and none have elevators.The listing says that it includes free parking. In the words of the young lady that showed us our room, “That’s a lie.” There is short term pay parking (bring coins or download the app to pay with a card) right across the street and long term pay parking down the road on the other side of the harbor. We drove around and found free street parking, but I’d pity the fellow with a lot of luggage - or mobility issues.

We had stayed at the Waterfront for two nights to attend a wedding. The rooms are large, very comfortable bed, modern and extremely clean. The staff were very polite and the breakfast had a great choice. This is a great location close to St. Andrews.

The room was small albeit a single bed for one person. The room was 2 flights up, no elevator. The room was reasonably modernand everything functioned well. Unfortunately I had not made a restaurant reservation and missed out. Parking was public and a nuisance. I had to run out to feed the meter at 8am the following morning or be ticketed.

We stayed two nights in Room D, the corner king with windows looking over the pretty harbor in two directions. We were pleasantly surprised by how tastefully furnished the room and common areas were, and how clean the entire property was. After walking around the village, we decided we had the best room in town! Its location and view could not be beat! Plus, breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. The only thing we’d change was the design of the bathroom. There was no shelf anywhere—not even in the shower—for toiletries, and no hooks for clothes or towels near the shower itself. Otherwise, the perfect pad from which to explore the area.

We loved the little village and our stay at The Waterfront. Parking was easy and both our rooms were excellent. Nicely finished and very clean. The staff were also great. We would definitely come again. Thank you.

I was walking part of the Coastal path with my Son. We had a very comfortable stay in a lovely room , followed by a great breakfast.

We had a marvelous short stay in the family room. Preteen children were cozy as can be in the bunks and the parents luxuriated too!We had a delicious dinner and even better breakfast. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality!

Returned to the Waterfront after many years of excellent service, great food and fantastic views. Right on the harbour side in the ancient fishing village of Anstruther the location is perfect. All staff were both friendly and helpful, really relaxingbreak.

We stayed for one night on our way home from holidays.The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable.Dinner was lovely, as was breakfast the next morning.The staff were helpful and courteous, nothing was too much bother, and we plan to stay again.Anstruther is a delightful town with lots to see and do along the surrounding coast.

Comfortable beds and pillows and a great night sleep. We had breakfast in the morning which was of a very high standard. We try to visit Anstruther every year to take a trip to the Isle of May.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Waterfront. The staff were very friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Our Harbour View room was excellent - well equipped, beautifully furnished, clean and spacious. Dinner- we'd booked our table well in advance as The Waterfront is justifiably popular, was excellentLots of choices, and all our dishes were very enjoyable. Service, as always, was attentive and friendly.The Waterfront is an excellent choice for anyone visiting Anstruther.

My wife and I had an overnight stay at The Waterfront hotel and had a great time . Hotel is lovely and also the dinner we had in the evening was superb . I must praise the staff too as they were extremely welcoming and friendly. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again .

We were delighted with the accommodation, and really pleased we booked room D well in advance as it certainly offered exceptional value for money. The staff were all extremely efficient, courteous and helpful. The quality and quantity of food was also exceptional. Whether we will return to the Waterfront in years to come remains to be seen, but we will certainly recommend the Waterfront to any of our friends who may be visiting Fife in the future. We were well looked after by the very helpful staff and the rooms were good.Stayed 2 nights on 19th and 20th and we will be back next year.

The rooms at the Waterfront are fabulous. They are bright, airy and spacious. There was everything there that we needed and the bed was very comfortable. We had breakfast both mornings and dinner there both evenings. The food is very nice and the staff are so pleasant and friendly.I stayed tgere a few years ago and I will definitely stay again... I just wont leave it so long till the next time.

Staff were all very helpful and friendly and the food was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Only slight issue was that the extractor fan in the bathroom didn’t work so everything steamed up and I couldn’t get the TV to work, although that might have been me

The Waterfront is a really lovely place to stay in Anstruther. Beautiful, well appointed rooms with lovely bathrooms en suite, all very freshly decorated and well maintained. The food at breakfast, and dinner was delicious, with very generous portions and it was terrific value. What really sets the Waterfront apart are the staff. They were all so lovely, efficient, clearly well trained and they seemed to genuinely care that guests had a good stay. We will be back!

Stayed here for 2 nights celebrating our wedding anniversary, rooms were absolutely lovely, breakfast great we had dinner on one night which was really nice and well priced and the staff were all very friendly and efficient planning to go back next year.

Our night at the Waterfront was great, our hotel room was perfect, the children loved their bunkbeds and the setting on the harbour was really charming. Big choice for breakfast, good dinner with real good meals options for children and really friendly and helpful staff, cannot recommend enough!

Lovely place with large rooms and bathrooms ( full tub and large shower). The rooms were extremely clean. They also have a Gastronomic Pub with great food and very attentive staff. Breakfast choices were plentiful and delicious. The town is only 10 miles south of St Andrew’s. A real Gem and excellent value

My sister and I had a lovely time here.we had a lovely room (5), excellent breakfast and although we were only booked for B&B we ate here some evenings too, booking required most nights as so popular. As visitors from Australia we enjoyed staying in such a lovely hotel in a wonderful location. Our room (10) was very comfortable and well equipped with an ace bathroom which was immaculate and modern.The staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast excellent.

The Waterfront is a lovely place to stay. It is actually on the waterfront so you have great views of the harbour. The accommodation is tucked away behind the restaurant, accessible through a passageway into a sheltered courtyard . The single room I booked was a delightful space , clean and uncluttered with a spacious en-suite.The breakfast menu ( included in room price) has a range of delicious options and there is a friendly message on it to greet you after your night’s sleep.Lunch/ dinner menu also had a great variety of locally sourced food- I tried the smoked haddock lasagne . Generous and full of flavour.All the staff I met were friendly and helpful- thanks very much to them!I loved my 2 night stay and have recommended The Waterfront to several friends.

The Waterfront is a beautiful hotel. Location is perfect. A member of staff welcomes you in a very friendly manner. The room we were given was upstairs. I guess it might be a problem with anyone with disabilities. The bedroom is very well kitted out. A very comfortable bed. Huge television.Tea coffee making facilities along with bottled water and shortbread. The ensuite is huge. Great power shower and a bath if you wish. The whole room is emaculate.Breakfast is plentiful with very good choices. We had dinner in the hotel on our 2nd night which was so nice. I had the cod and husband had the scampi.Parking is a few moments from the hotel. Its £1.30 for 24 hours, so no problem. All in all we had a brilliant stay and wouldn't hesitate in recommending this property. Look forward to going back soon.

Have been visiting the area for 30 years but first time staying in the Waterfront and would highly recommend it we Stayed in room 1 everything was immaculate bed was very comfortable smashing big wall mounted television, powerful shower.Food was fantastic staff were all very pleasant will definitely return.

I love the location of the Waterfront hotel.It's situated in the center of the small fishing town of Anstruther.The hotel rooms are located behind the restaurant and surrounds a quiet little patio area.Our room was small but very nicely furnished.The bathroom was huge.Coffee, tea and cookies were provided.Breakfast was also included at their restaurant.You order off the menu with plenty of options and excellent.I recommend reserving a table for dinner at this restaurant too.I think it was the best restaurant in town.Anstruther is minutes away from St. Andrews which we enjoyed touring.There isn't much nightlife in Anstruther; one pub is open after 9pm and I think it was the only option.Parking is available on side streets behind the hotel.We had no problem finding a parking spot, but it was May.It may be harder in peak travel season??

This was my third visit and i always enjoy staying here the staff are very friendly the food very good the bedrooms are excellent. Will not hesitate to stop here again.

Room was nice although at bit on the hot side. We just opened the window and all was well. Shower was too hot but this was rectified after notifying reception.Breakfast was good and the evening meal was good also.

The large room overlooks the harbor and had 2 comfortable chairs a king sized bed with a great mattress. Even the bathroom was large and the room was quiet. Breakfast was included and was made to order with a good variety of options. We ordered dinner at the restaurant and the mussels were tender and delicious as was the sea bass. Highly recommended this hotel.

Stayed 1-night in Super Harbour View room which was spacious, well-kept and very comfortable. Breakfast was the most satisfying we had in our Scotland travels. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, esp the young man who helped us checked-in and helped serve us breakfast. Would stay with them if ever we are in the area again.

Beautiful double aspect room overlooking the harbour, every detail had been thought about in furnishing and equipping the room, which had been done to a very high standard. This hotel is in a wonderful location on the shore front in Anstruther. Rooms are beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean with comfortable beds and great showers. They also do a fantastic breakfast. Had dinner one night and that was also good. Staff were very kind and attentive. Only negative is the soundproofing of the rooms. We had very noisy plumbing in the wall cavity behind our bed.

As a group we have returned to the waterfront for the last six years. The rooms are very comfortable and clean . The food in the restaurant covers all taste and hearty breakfast sets you up for the day ahead.Looking forward to next years trip.

What a great surprise. We loved staying at the waterfront. Amazingly big rooms. Our was the 7th at the bakehouse. Créant,confortable, great location.Idéal for golf lovers .....close to saint andrews but also many more all over the place. We ll defibitely Côme back. One of the Best place we stayed during our multiple scotland trips. Congratulations ! Do not hesitate to book !

Nice relaxing one night stay. Good breakfast lovely evening meal. As usual with reviews did read of one or two complaints but have to agree with another guest suggesting some people can be very picky. We both had haggis filled chicken breast which was served piping hot with all fresh ingredients on a hot plate. Delicious 😋

Second time staying at this hotel and it didn’t disappoint. We stayed in the harbour view rooms and they were amazing, great size and spotlessly clean.Only downside our friends could hear the music each morning from the restaurant as the breakfast was getting set up.Breakfast was amazing, my personal favourite is the fruit bowl and it’s the freshest fruit I have ever tasted. So much choice and nothing a bother.We ate in the hotel on the Saturday night, food was delicious but made more special by our waitress ALICE who was absolutely lovely so chatty and friendly.We will definitely be back

My husband and I spent 3 great nights bed and breakfast last week. we booked on recommendation from my brother and he was right. Everything was perfect. Our room was room A. Huge, spotless, warm, great bed, large T.V., and nice hospitality tray. bottles of water supplied and renewed every day.The bathroom was perfect.Lovely warm towels, all toiletries supplied, a bath and a wonderful walk in shower.The dining room was perfect too. A great breakfast. I loved the bowl of fresh fruit I started with every morning. and there was a good selection for main breakfast and everything was served by young staff who were on the ball. The dinner at night was excellent too. It was so good we did not try anywhere else. The menu was varied and the choice of fish was really good. All in all we had a lovely stay and will recommend the Waterfront.

Easter weekend at The Waterfront was fantastic. The high points were the friendly staff, tasty food, and nice clean room. The only complaint is parking was a bit of a challenge. But that’s not uncommon with these quaint, coastal villages, especially when it’s busy. But other than that, highly recommend.

Best location and nice Restaurant

Couldn’t fault it. We stayed in a very comfortable bed & room! Pretty courtyard view. Food was great! Only thing I would say for the future to stop customers being frustrated, we think there needs to be a different check in area separate from the restaurant entrance. We had to stand with our bags whilst a few people queued for their table for food. Maybe around the side entrance for accommodation better with a sign. We didn’t have to wait long but heard a chap getting agitated. This could be avoided. So we want to come back in summer next time with a sea view. Thanks again staff helpful & friendly

We stayed overnight at the Waterfront and were most impressed. A large, comfortable freshly decorated room with excellent facilities. The breakfast was what you'd expect in a 5 star hotel. Waiter service for everything. A bowl of superb fresh fruit - melon, kiwi, strawberries, blackberries blueberries and grapes, followed by anything you wanted. I had smoked haddock which was first class. The staff were all very friendly and efficient.

This was our first stay at the Waterfront, although we had eaten there over the last 20 years. Our room was clean, warm and welcoming. Only one concern was the noise from the room above. After travelling over 300 miles in rain most of the day on arrival the sun shone and my breath was taken away with the beauty of Anstruther. From the minute I walked through the door at The Waterfront the staff, both of which were very young, were very polite and welcoming.After a walk around the village I went back for an evening meal which was absolutely beautiful and once again the staff were amazing. The room was well decorated, warm and spotless with the usual facilities I would have expected.After a good night sleep I thoroughly enjoyed a lovely breakfast.Lots of choices on the menu at all times of the day for everyone's needs - will definitely be staying here again - thank you all

Stayed @ the Waterfront 17 & 18 march 2024 had an excellent time, accommodated in room 5 very spacious and well laid out. Excellent Breakfast & Dinner Menu both with plenty of choice, had dinner in the restaurant on the 17 meal was excellent. Staff friendly and helpful.Would definitely recommend this hotel 👍.

Very nice place, great location. Single room not too big, but the price very competitive, so no problem. All in all very happy, would stay again.

I booked two rooms and on arrival the staff were so friendly. Both rooms were absolutely beautiful. Clean and finished lovely . We had a table for 4 booked In restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing. All four happy with what we had orderd and staff were so helpful and friendly . Breakfast again was superb and again the staff so friendly and helpful. Will most def come back and stay again. 10/10

Beautiful room, we stayed in one of the Harbour view rooms,lots of space and a great view.Helpful staff. Good choice at breakfast. We ate at the Waterfront Restaurant in the evening and had a very enjoyable meal with fresh local produce.

I booked the wrong year on Booking.com the young receptionist noticed this right away and amended the booking to accommodate us. The room A we occupied was immaculate.Breakfast was plentiful and fresh produce.Would definitely recommend this hotel.

I spent one night mid week at The Waterfront hotel in Anstruther. The room was lovely; huge bed, clean bathroom, handy kettle. I booked a table in the restaurant for dinner which was delicious and breakfast the next morning was very high quality! Would definitely recommend The Waterfront Hotel.

Just returned from Anstruther, having stayed here for 3 nights in the Superior Room overlooking the harbour. A very spacious, comfortable room with excellent shower and bath. 3 excellent night's sleep. The breakfast in the restaurant downstairs was super. We dined in the restaurant for 2 evenings and on each occasion the food and young staff service were first class.

The Waterfront is a great place to stay. The room was large and spotlessly clean. The restaurant has a great buzz and our food was delicious. The staff, from cleaning staff to waiting staff are all so friendly and helpful. I wish everywhere I stay could live up to these standards. A great stay. Thank you!

Our stay was superb with the superior double room being awesome. This was our second visit a d would certainly come back again. Only one minor hiccup in that the bottle of bubbly previously ordered was not in the room on arrival.

We had an original booking for new years but had to cancel, the hotel allowed us to carry it over which was good. We stayed in the harbour view room which was beautiful and exceptionally clean. Dinner in the restaurant was faultless with great service as was the breakfast. We have already recommended to friends and family.

What a beautiful hotel and bistro. Exceptional clean, and great location. Staff were great, food wasvery nice but the prawns in the prawn cocktail could be better, quality instead of quantity.

We came for the weekend to attend a local wedding, theroom was immaculate as was the bathroom freshest we have ever stayed in to be honest, housekeeping team go the extra mile, bedding super soft and bed so comfy. Lovely service and food at breakfast it was a real treat to stay here thanks to all the team.

Received a very warm welcome at the restaurant/reception. Nice room with en-suite, which was absolutely spotless and well furnished. Got the best sleep on the more than comfortable bed.We had our evening meal in the restaurant which was very good (Cullen Skink x2, chicken Alfredo plus a nice vegetarian option).Breakfasted with a great view overlooking the harbour. Fresh fruit salad with actual fresh fruit! Eggs Benedict done perfectly!Overwhelmingly positive with some relatively trivial mentions: squeaky floor board or two from the room above, could benefit from some mood lighting in the restaurant, improved choice in the low alcohol/no alcohol drinks at dinner would bewelcomed.We’d happily stay there again.

Stayed in Room D with the fabulous view of the harbour. Room perfect and huge. Breakfast in the restaurant was great and we also enjoyed dinner there on one of our two nights stay. Didn't realise that the rooms were not in the same building as the restaurant and that there wasn't a bar as such but now know for our return visit next month!Only niggle was being unable to use the wifi as kept dropping off, as did the connection on the TV for Sky BUT the view from our room was all we needed!Perfect location, excellent accommodation/ food and superb staff - thanks

We had the harbour view room,which was large,spotless, very comfortable,& the out look of the large windows was fabulous.The resturant downstairs was very good,with a good selection on the menu.Breakfast was just what u wanted. Spotless room, large bathroom (with bath and separate shower), plenty of heat and hot water. Room view was onto a quaint cottage courtyard.Sky movies if you had tie, but wifi needed logging in a lot.Food in the restaurant was lovely - I had a pie with local beef, proper chips, fresh vegetables, but a good variety including mussels. The breakfast choice was very wide, the cooked breakfast included haggis.The staff were very friendly and helpful too.

We stopped in room D. It was a lovely room. Absolutely spotless. The views were amazing. The bed was very comfortable. Couldn't fault the room. The WiFi was a bit of a pain as it kept kicking you out and you had to constantly log back in. Not sure why that was but did not spoil our stay.There was a storm while we were there and our room gave fantastic views of the stormy sea. It was great.We were also booked in for breakfast. The food was delicious, all freshly cooked. The staff were friendly and efficient.We also had an evening meal there. Again food and staff were excellent.Look forward to visiting again.

We stayed for one night. We arrived in the evening and a member of staff took us to our room and explained about breakfast, parking etc.room was immaculately clean and had everything we needed. We had an early start for breakfast as we were nipping down to Pittenweem tidal pool for a dip. There is a large selection for breakfast you can have two courses if you want but we just chose a hot dish each, full breakfast and eggs Benedict, perfect. Check out was smooth. All in, a great stay. We are into our cold water therapy so will definitely be back to the East Neuk of Fife and would definitely choose to stay at the Waterfront again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Waterfront. The rooms were clean, well-furnished, pleasantly decorated and with comfortable beds. The building is large and many of the rooms were arranged round a pretty courtyard. Breakfast was excellent. Our only quibble was that we had to keep signing back into the wifi every time we used it. But we would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at The Waterfront, only for 1 night. We had the pleasure of meeting Louise, who was absolutely lovely. Our room was one of the superior rooms, beautifully decorated and comfortable. We booked the restaurant for dinner and everything was delicious. The staff although young were fantastic and very pleasant. I have absolutely no complaints and will certainlybe back. I'm only minor criticism(if you can call it that) is, there is no bar area. However, we walked to their sister hotel which is 2mins round the corner.Fantastic stay 😀

A very pleasant two days away to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The accommodation is nicely decorated and comfortable. The food was most enjoyable and well presented.The staff are approachable and friendly.

We arrived on 18thJanuary for two night stay.Made very welcome, relaxed check in and room was perfect.All staff are extremely pleasant, highly trained a credit to the Waterfront.Food was tasty and reasonably priced, great breakfast menu too. Only drawback is that there was no lounge area to relax in. All in all we highly recommend the Water good for a break.

This was a lovely wee place to visit . Accommodation was exceptionally clean and fresh . Massive wall mounted tele in room . Shower excellent too . Staff were attentive , friendly and welcoming and the restaurant food was absolutely fabby ! The only downside for us was the paper thin walls . Unfortunately I was kept awake by the other guests talking, watching tele and snoring . All in all , if your hard of hearing 10/10 , if your hearing is ok then 7/10 .

We were given a family room which was lovely as it had a couch where we could relax, we had booked a double. The bedroom was clean and comfortable and the bed was large and comfortable.There was tea/coffee facilities along with bottled water. The only minus point was the Wi-Fi, which was very poor. The TV also kept cutting out as it lost Wi-Fi signal and would not receive terrestrial channels as no ariel available.However I would quite happily stay here again, and most likely will, as the location was next to the harbour and the the food was excellent and the staff were very friendly. Fix the Wi-Fi and TV issue and it would be a clean sweep of the stars.

I stayed in The Waterfront for 4 days. Room was exceptionally clean, everything you needed was there. The staff were really helpful, friendly and could not do more for customers. The lady in charge was great with younger staff and it was a delight to hear them so happy at work. Thanks to all, especially Kirsten who looked after me so well. I’d definitely recommend. Harbour views amazing too.

Enjoyed our one night stay. Room was warm and comfortable and hot water for shower or bath.Dinner was excellent and hot on hot plates which increasingly rare these days. Good breakfast with colourful sunrise laid on.

Everything about the stay at Waterfront was excellent: the room was spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and had a wonderful view across the river and harbour. We decided to have night in Anstruther at short notice. The Waterfront seemed good value for money, especially with breakfast include. The room was great with SKY and Netflix available. The restaurant dinnermenu was also to our liking and we were were not disappointed. Breakfast was fabulous with a varied menu andwaiter/waitress service. Much better than a "help yourself" buffet.

We stayed in Harbour View, Room A, first of all the room was superb, very spacious with a massive bathroom, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Hadboth breakfast and dinner, lots of choice and very tasty. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back soon and would highly recommend to family and friends.

Have stayed here over the last 10 years and this was our first visit since the Covid outbreakThe room was perfection.It would appear that the renovation of that area of the building was fairly recently carried out and it showed.The finished room was first class, material wise and the windows give an excellent view of the harbour and surrounding area.Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, as usual and the food was up to it's usual high standardYou can't beat perfection

We stayed here as part of our wedding weekend and it was brilliant. We were given a stunning room with lots of light (which my hair and make up artists were very happy about! Alongside my photographer) and pretty views of the harbour. Staff were fab with me also :)

Room decor is georgeous. Rooms come with a great welcome tray and sky tv. Bathroom was very spacious, cosy warm, with luxurious white fluffy towels. Handwash in bathroom smelt divine. Nice shampoo and conditioner too. Breakfast was included and was superb. Loads of choice on the breakfast menu so we had something different every day.I'm confident you won't get a better breakfast anywhere. Also had a lovely meal in the restaurant at night, again, its a great menu. Loads of free parking across the road. Think it's free from October onwards. The Waterfront is centrally located for all Anstruther has to offer, so plenty of bars and restaurants on your doorstep. Anstruther is a great place to visit and this is a fantastic place to stay. We will definitely be back.

Very impressed with facilities and great staff. One issue is weak WiFi but this may be a local problem.

Everyone was very welcoming and looked after us well, whilst the food and accommodation were excellent .The only negative point is the booking of the double bay window room is misleading as it is the only picture on the internet when booking . Although the picture is only an example, when booking you aren’t aware of this .As the similar issue arose in January this year, according to a trip advisor review, it is a pity that nothing has been done about it as then why leaving a review, if it isn’t taking into account .Anyway, thank you again for the last couple of days, we enjoyed it .Frederic

Just back from another lovely stay at the Waterfront. This was our second visit and cant wait to book again. Rooms are immaculate and the beds are really comfortable. The staff are lovely and cant do enough for you. We had torrential rain our first morning so stayed in our room and the housekeeping lady made sure we had enough tea etc to see us through the morning. Breakfasts are great with lots to choose from and the evening meals are deliciouswith lots of choice.

Very nice room and bathroom, extremely clean and comfortable. I appreciated the warmth and cosiness despite the cold outside. Breakfast very enjoyable. Superb value for money!

The staff are fantastic the rooms are superb and the cleaning staff do an amazing job keeping the rooms to a very high standard. My only disappointment is the Wi-Fi it’s not very good.

Once again we had a fantastic couple of nights,this time in room A. The room was warm and comforting and quiet. Perfect for the colder darker nights.The food was as usual superb.... the waterfront burger has to be the best burger we have had.The staff, everyone of them, are just so nice. They feel like friends now.The minute we leave we are looking forward to our next visit.Our favourite place in our favourite part of the country.

I visited Anstruther for the first time with my Mum and Uncle. Beautiful large and very clean rooms, perfectly decorated and furnished! Lovely bathroom with separate bath and shower unit.Food in restaurant wonderful, staff SO friendly and helpful!Great value for money.Will definately stay again if possible as just such a wonderful, happy experience for us all.Thanks so much to the staff also when we had to keep our luggage stored for a few hours after checking out due to issues with my Uncles car!Lovely staff from room cleaning staff to restaurant/reception!Well worth a visit❤️

The room was warm, large and well equipped. The staff were lovely all very friendly and extremely helpful. The situation of the premises is excellent and nearby all shops and restaurants and town centre. The only problem was lack of internet and phone signal but this is a problem in the whole area. Overalla very pleasant and enjoyable experience I would recommend.

We have stayed in Anstruther before First time here. Sea view room with everything you could want.We dined in the restaurant on the evening. Food was amazing. Marie loved the seabass. Great breakfasts and very good service.

My husband and I stayed at The Waterfront in Anstruther for 3 nights.We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend staying here.The rooms are of a high standard and bed very comfortable.A good shower too.Staff in restaurant were very nice.We had dinner in the restaurant two nights and it was very nice.The breakfast in the morning is excellent.The housekeeping staff were lovely and gave us some advice re our coastal walk.We hope to return in the summer to stay here again.

Very comfortable accommodation attached to restaurant with very good breakfasts and good selection of well cooked meal menus at other times. Staff very pleasant, efficient and helpful.Only complaint was the extremely irritating intermittent WiFi which would frequently randomly cut out and require you to sign in multiple times. The mobile signal was very poor so WiFi is a major guest requirement. The staff were aware and said they hoped the service would be corrected with new phone connections soon as it affected all of them too.

We came to the Waterfront as a family because we were going to a wedding that was at a venue close to Anstruther.The staff were very accommodating and understanding when we arrived late for dinner on the Friday because of the extreme weather.The rooms were very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent.The staff were friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome.I would highly recommend a stay at the Waterfront.

Everything about our 2 night stay was great, even though we visited in the middle of storm Babet !! The room was clean, spacious and the bed was more than comfortable. Breakfast was cooked to order and the choice was very good. Dinner at night was from a substantial menu that catered for all choices - Our meal was one of the best we've had for a while. Finally the staff were very friendly and attentitive. we will defo visit again.

Our stay was great from our arrival to departure. Staff are just lovely and nothing was too much bother for them.Our room was modern, roomy and absolutely spotless. Had a wonderful break in Anstruther and staying at the Waterfront. Everything was perfect and would return again soon.

Excellent accommodation in a great location. Restaurant meals were high quality and staff friendly and helpful. Only minor gripe was the non-existent wifi and the lack of parking during the day (we stayed at the weekend and even though it’s out of season the place was very busy).

Once again our stay was fantastic. The room (harbour view) was warm and cozy,perfect for the Autumn temperatures. Great,friendly,approachable staff who couldn't do enough for you.The food, from breakfast to evening dinner, is quite simply magnificent.It's no wonder we keep going back, and back again..See you all again in November.

We have been here before.The standard of the room is top top.There are a lot of stairs which might be a problem for some people.It is a really lovely place to stay on the Main Street opposite the sea

Comfortable clean room located in the rear courtyard which was quiet, great sleep.Ate in the restaurant for breakfast and evening meals which were excellent. Service was great too. I will definitely return.

Stayed at Waterfront on a short break.Lovely room, well furnished, comfortable bed and en suite facilities.Good choice on brekfast menu.Anstruther was ideal as a base to visit St Andrews and explore coastal villages and walk the coastal path.No onside parking but ample space in the public car park which is free from 1 October.

This is the second time I have stayed here and it doesn’t disappoint- rooms are lovely, food is excellent and the staff are great.

Ideally situated location, public parking close by (and free at the time of our visit). Room very comfortable and well appointed - although minor inconvenience of slow internet, also requiring frequent logging back in. Restaurant excellent, with prompt service from efficient staff. Inclusive breakfast with good choice on menu, as well as extensive options for lunch and dinner if required. Well worth a visit.

Just back from a three night stay. We were in a room in an attached building to the rear. It was very modern, clean and well appointed. There were no views to the sea but for us that was no issue as we spent all day outside. There was a walk-in shower with plenty hot water. We had single beds with duvets but these could have been wider as when turning we found ourselves needing to reposition the devet several times during the night.The restaurant also modern was attractive with plenty outside light. On the first morning we had USA style music from the seventies which was too brash and too loud for 8 o'clock in the morning!The breakfasts and evening meals were superb with very attentive staff. We look forward to returning.

I wasn’t expecting anything above average from a small hotel in a very old building in a rural Scottish town. Wrong! My room had everything you hope to have; clean, a comfortable bed, huge TV, full bathroom,tea, coffee, water and even some shortbread. Breakfast in the restaurant was delicious and offered plenty of choice. The staff are all well trained and extremely welcoming and pleasant. If you plan to be in Anstruther, stay at The Waterfront.

What a little gem on the waterfront in Anstruther! Arrived early as was attending a wedding and my room was unexpectedly ready which allowed me to get settled. Lovely single bed room with all facilities and great en suite. Breakfast included in thei restaurant which was very quick and delicious! Would stay again for sure.

Had a very nice stay,room was spotless,only thing I could mention is the smell on the bedding from the softener,sometimes a little is enough,far to strong.Great breakfast,better choice than some 4 star hotels I've stayed in,all in all,staff very nice and will definitely be back for a 4th stay.

We had been before so knew what to expect from room D, the best room ever for views. We sat at the windows for ages just watching the world go by. The room is huge, beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. We ate in the restaurant on our first night and it was delicious as was the breakfast on the two mornings we were there. The young staff were very polite and attentive.The only slight problem was the noise the cleaner made at 6am, a lot of rattling about with the keygetting in the door and then the noise of chairs and tables getting put outside, as the restaurant doesn't open till 8am there didnt seem much point in doing this the back of 6? It wouldn't put us off room D though as it is definitely our favourite.

I was disappointed that I didn’t get the harbour room with the 2 windows as when I booked that was the one that I thought I would get as it was displayed.I did get a harbour view room and it was very nice, but I can’t pretend that I wasn’t disappointed.My husband and I were there only for bed and breakfast which was excellent,……..great choices.we also ate there on three occasions for dinner which was good ,but felt the prawn cocktail could be improved by using a better grade of prawn.I would definitely recommend the soup,……..it was wholesome and delicious.

My father stayed here along with the majority of my friends for my wedding in nearby Crail.Having booked it for my father I was delighted that he enjoyed it and I heard many good things about nice breakfasts and spacious rooms from my friends too.We had a big family lunch the day after the wedding and the food and service was excellent.

The room and bathroom were large, newly and nicely refurbished, comfy and quiet.The food was excellent and the portions generous. We had dinner and breakfast.The staff, especially Jude, were all very friendly and polite.WiFi in the village is weak which was the only very minor grievance.

Had a lovely stay, hotel was lovely, service was great throughout, especially at dinner and breakfast.Both rooms suited our needs brilliantly.Only wee bit of feedback was the information pre check in stated if our room was available when we arrived we would be able to check in.The colleague didn’t check and stated check in was not till 1430.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Waterfront. From the moment we arrived staff were amazing, from the young man who took us to our room to the staff in the main dining area. Our room was perfect, very comfortable, spotless clean and had everything we needed. Food was amazing both at dinner and breakfast, again staff were attentive and conscious of any dietary requirements we had. Keep doing what you do Waterfront, we'll be back to stay with you again.

We had never stayed in The Waterfront Hotel before but would be extremely happy to do so again. We had Room D with views over the harbour. The staff were extremely friendly and most helpful. The food in the restaurant was superb. Obviously the restaurant is very popular as on both evenings they were full.A lovely two day break for us. Thank you.

A great base to stay to explore this lovely part of Fife. We enjoyed the large room (A) and the large bathroom, with plenty of storage. Mostly quiet despite the central location. Our dinner there was very good, as were the three breakfasts with plenty of choice, friendly service from the young team. Only complaint might be the slowness of the Wi-Fi.

The Waterfront was a good location in anstruther. We had booked for two nights but unfortunately we had to leave after one night. A family emergency meant we had to go home. We were disappointed that we were charged for two nights stay.We asked and were given a credit for another 1 night stay in the future.We will go back..

Excellent overnight stay with elderly mother.Room 7 Bakehouse was very spacious,well appointed, seemed newly refurbished and comfortable.Had a seat in the sunny courtyard. Enjoyed dinner in restaurant- quality food, big portions and good service.Often stay in hotels and have to say I had one of the best breakfasts I 've had for a while.Opted for Scottish breakfast which was cooked to order and piping hot Will be back!

Hotel was a standard 3 star and house keeping was really good Our room had no point for electric razor and no point for mobile phone that was the only issueBut what made this hotel 4star was the food Breakfast was superb with plenty of choice and the dinner was really good too. Would recommend this hotel as it is in a good location and staff are very accommodating .

We stayed 6 people in 3 rooms at the Waterfront. The newly remodeled rooms were perfect . The staff made the check in/out easy.Nice and cozy atmosphere at the hotel in combination with touring the Anstruther-St. Andrew’s area.Absolutely recomendable.
